Other Contacts:
Many of these folks are horse owners who have been trimming their own horses using their versions of a natural trim.
They are willing to lend support and share their stories with people new to barefootedness.
Some farriers, veterinarians, or hoof care specialists experienced in the natural trim and are supportive of barefootedness and are so designated in bold after their name....otherwise they are notprofessionals.
Note: While all of the professionals on this list have demonstrated support for barefooting, some might still engage in the practice of shoeing under some circumstances....it is ultimately up to you to decide what is best for your horse.

I got started with natural hoofcare many years ago on my own horses. Finding Jamie Jackson was a major breakthrough in my education to caring for my horses' feet. After years of trial and error I decided to give back to the horse and teach others how to trim their own horses. I conduct monthly trimming workshops as well as one-on-one trimming instructions. My goals are to teach others about a more natural lifestyle and a natural trim. As with everything we do with our horses, support and information is a big part of how successful we will be. Horse owners can and do trim their own horses. I also teach natural horsemanship-starting colts and teaching people to get handy with their horses. This includes handling of their feet. The combination of natural trimming and horsemanship makes for a great outcome. Debbie Dutra Truckee CA 530.582.0343 www.naturalhoofcare.com or email me at: dutraddranch@earthlink.net |
